Antifriz Kullanımı

Antifreeze Precautions and Should Antifreeze Be Added to the Installation?

The purpose of using antifreeze is to prevent freezing. In order to prevent freezing, the substance with the least heat transfer and exchange is antifreeze. In order for the antifreeze to be effective, it must be 50% of the total water volume. Adding this volume to the heating installation is very costly and it will not be possible to heat your cores since it is a very low heat intake material.

The use of antifreeze is definitely a wrong practice, as the heat intake of the system water will decrease as a result of mixing the water circulating in the system with the antifreeze. It can also damage your boiler due to the glucose in the antifreeze structure. It may cause your device to work with low efficiency and eventually malfunction by causing clogging of the working parts.

The best precaution to be taken against frost is to use the frost protection position found in many combi boilers. In many combi boilers, it is possible to solve this problem by leaving the energy button on even though the heating mode is turned off. If you have a combi boiler that does not have such a function, the best thing to do is to leave the heater position at the lowest temperature without turning it off. If your combi will not be used for a very long time and there is a possibility of freezing, it is the best method to drain the water of the installation and the combi. When freezing occurs, the heat exchangers, pump and many parts of your combi boiler are damaged.

Since it will not be possible to repair the frost damage in these parts, the parts must be replaced. Therefore, you will encounter a high cost problem. We would also like to underline that it is not enough to empty the water inside the combi, even if the water pressure is zero, water remains in the parts of the combi. This causes freezing. As Combined Technical Service, we state that we are with you in case of not using the combi for a long time and we will help you to drain the water of your combi.
